Position: Director of Finance & Resources
Reports to: CEO
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
Location: Remote – Stirling (Hybrid)
Contract Type/Hours: Permanent / 36.25 hours per week

What will you do as Director of Finance & Resources?

It is an outstanding opportunity to join this charity as Director of Finance & Resources, leading the strategic and operational management of Finance, IT, and Fundraising. This pivotal role ensures the charity’s financial sustainability and operational efficiency, enabling it to deliver its mission of inspiring young people and communities through accessible, responsible experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
* Strategic Leadership – Oversee Finance, IT, and Fundraising functions, ensuring resources and systems are compliant, efficient, and aligned with organisational objectives.
* Governance and Reporting – Manage financial audits, governance processes, and reporting to Trustees and the CEO.
* People and Cultural Development – Foster collaboration and drive organisational change, creating an inclusive and positive culture.
* Risk Management and Compliance – Identify risks, implement mitigating measures, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
* Operational Excellence – Support growth through effective budget management, business development initiatives, and resource optimisation.
What experience do we need from you?
* Professional management qualification or other relevant business experience.
* Professional accountancy qualification (CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Demonstrated experience of liaising with and influencing internal and external stakeholders with authority and credibility.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex information at board level.
