Position: Content Writer/ ProcessWriter
Location: Richmond VA(Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months and possibility ofextension
Description:
Seeking askilled Process Writer to develop creative and engaging content forvarious operational areas. This includes job/desk aids processreminders procedural checklists FAQs operating procedures and otherrelevant documentation. The ideal candidate will be proficient inthe Microsoft Suite Teams and possess a toolkit of modern softwareapplications to enhance content creation anddistribution.
DaytodayResponsibilities:
ContentDevelopment: Create and manage comprehensivedocumentation such as standard operating procedures (SOPs) job aidsFAQs newsletters and other relevant content for employeeconsumption.
Collaboration: Meet withbusiness owners and frontline staff to understand business needsand translate these into clear actionable content. Work closelywith internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency inmessaging branding and style.
Editing and Quality Control:Edit existing content to ensure voice grammar and style areconsistent with established branding and styleguidelines.
FrameworkDevelopment: Develop and maintain a standardoperating procedure framework to support consistent and effectivecontent development.
Regular Updates: Review andupdate information on a daily weekly and monthly basis to ensureall content remains current and relevant.
Updates and Maintenance: Stayup to date on operational changes and ensure all content is currentand relevant. Create and schedule process reminders distributeprocess changes and other timesensitive information via MicrosoftTeams for multiple division channels.
Content on Demand: Respond tourgent content creation requests delivering highquality materialswithin tight deadlines.
Education: Bachelors degree in EnglishCommunications Technical Writing or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3years of experience in technical writing content creation or asimilar role within a utility or operations environment.
Skills:
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Teams andCanva.
* Strong writing and editing skills witha keen eye for detail.
* Ability to understandand translate technical information into clear concisedocumentation.
* Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.
* Ability to workindependently and manage multiple projectssimultaneously.
* High level of competence intechnology including AI website updating OneDrive and other complexdigital sharing tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in the utility industry particularly in waterand gas operations.
* Familiarity with modernsoftware applications used in content creation anddistribution.
* Experience writing process andprocedures for customer service or a call center
* Experience writing process and procedures for governmentor federal regulations.
* Prefer candidate tohave their own toolkit of authoring and content creationtools.
