Due to recently awarded tenders a specialist civil engineering contractor are seeking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a major civils / infrastructure in the West Midlands. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will have the opportunity to work on a permanent or contract basis (outside of IR35) for a minimum of 2 years. Key Responsibilities: · Overseeing cost control and commercial management for a major project · Reporting to and collaborating with Senior Commercial staff · Prepare monthly project commercial reports. · Managing and mentoring a Quantity Surveyor · Ensuring accurate cost forecasting and budget management · Handling contract administration, particularly NEC · Maintaining effective communication with contractors and stakeholders · Manage the commercial aspects of the early contractor involvement (ECI) for the project Requirements: · Experience in quantity surveying on major civil engineering projects within infrastructure, (Rail experience is not required) · Proficiency in cost control and contract management · Experience with NEC contracts · Background in managing contractors and mentoring junior team members · Ability to work effectively in project teams within · Excellent communication and analytical skills · Relevant qualifications in quantity surveying or civil engineering · Member of RICS or CIOB (not essential) This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to work on a major project in the West Midlands.
