Learning AssistantFulltime: Maternity cover, fixed term contract: fulltime TTORequired: End of March 2025Salary: FTE £34,000 (TTO £26,954.95)The RoleSutton High School is seeking an experienced Learning Assistant (with Level 4 training or above) to support a Year 10 pupil as part of their Education and Health Care Plan.Providing individual attention, reassurance and help, you will encourage this academically able pupil to remain focussed and engaged in order to achieve her full potential. You will also ensure that she receives the support she needs to navigate the social and emotional challenges of the school environment and is able to take full advantage of available opportunities.You will also provide support to students working in our Neurodiversity Hub at breaks and lunchtimes.With a recognised TA qualification i.e. NVQ, NNEB, City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent relevant experience in an educational setting, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to listen, empathise and build strong, positive relationships with children and staff alike.You will be joining a team of four Learning Assistants in our Senior School Neurodiversity Team, based in our Neurodiversity Hub.About Sutton High SchoolSutton High School is an academically selective independent day school for girls with an age range of 3 to 18 years.
