Bank Hospital Support Worker - Goole and District Hospital

We are recruiting for caring, positive, and dependable people to join our team in the role of a Bank Hospital Support Assistant.
H.S.A's are an integral part of the Hospitals operations, working on Wards and Departments providing all of our cleaning and catering responsibilities. A typical day for a H.S.A would include wet mopping, vacuuming, emptying bins, replenishing supplies, cleaning fixtures, furniture and toilet / bathroom areas. If assigned to the catering element you will deliver beverages and meals to our patients and carry out kitchen duties, in ward catering facilities.
The right candidate would be working on a Bank Contract covering various shifts within our Wards and Departments. Shift times will be from 07.00am - 14.30 pm 5 days a week pro rata.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Level 1 English & Maths or ability to demonstrate effective standard of spoken English and use of mathematics.
* To have gained or have previously received food safety awareness training.
* Previous experience of cleaning or catering within the NHS.
* To have gained a Level 2 NVQ in cleaning services or equivalent or are willing to participate in further training to achieve it.
* To have gained a Level 2 in numeracy and literacy or equivalent or are willing to participate in further training to achieve it.
Occupational Experience
* To have gained sufficient experience in the cleaning industry to be able to demonstrate an understanding of safe working practices and techniques that would meet the requirements within this role or be willing to undertake a period of induction and on the job training to meet COSHH regulations.
