Role: Senior Tax Accountant

Position Overview: As the most senior tax person, you will be responsible for managing the global tax operations. This includes ensuring compliance with international tax regulations, optimizing the group's tax position, and advising on tax implications of business strategies across multiple jurisdictions. The role requires a deep understanding of international tax laws, a strategic mindset, and the ability to manage complex tax issues across various entities and geographies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tax Compliance and Reporting:
o Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns for all entities within the Group, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws.
o Manage the global tax reporting process, including quarterly and annual tax provisions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
2. Tax Planning and Strategy:
o Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the group's tax position across multiple jurisdictions.
o Advise on the tax implications of business operations, restructurings, and new initiatives.
o Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations and assess the impact on the group's operations and strategies.
3. Transfer Pricing:
o Oversee the development and maintenance of transfer pricing policies and documentation in compliance with OECD guidelines and local regulations.
o Manage transfer pricing audits and disputes, providing expert support and guidance.
4. Risk Management:
o Identify and mitigate tax risks across the group, ensuring robust tax risk management processes are in place.
o Lead tax audits and manage relationships with tax authorities in various jurisdictions.
5. Advisory and Support:
o Provide tax advice and support to various business units and senior management on a wide range of projects and transactions.
o Collaborate with the finance team to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business planning and decision-making processes.
6. Team Leadership and Development:
o Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
o Provide training and updates to finance and business teams on tax matters.
Qualifications and Experience:
* ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent with extensive post-qualification experience in a senior tax role.
* Proven experience in managing tax affairs of a complex multinational organization, ideally within the financial services sector.
* In-depth knowledge of international tax laws, transfer pricing, and tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex tax issues and provide strategic advice.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and mentoring tax professionals.
* Proficiency in tax software and financial systems.
