Supporting the Chief Finance Officer, whilst working to the Head of Finance, the postholder will be expected to: Work in partnership with business leaders and senior managers to achieve strategic objectives through the provision of high-quality Finance advice, direction and insight. Ensure accurate financial transactions and analyse and challenge financial performance of business areas. Support OPDC’s planning cycle, including the development of multi-year financial plans, budgets and quarterly forecasts. Support the acquisition and management of around £250m of investments in property and subsidiaries. You will be a qualified Accountant and a member of a professional accountancy body and have previous experience in the public or private sector gained in a similar role.
