Vertu Motors, Gateshead As a Content Creator for Social (both mobile-first and long form video), Web (product reviews and showcases), and internal communications at Vertu Motors plc, one of the UK's largest automotive retailer groups, you will play a critical role in supplying quality content required to enhance these crucial communication channels, improving our engagement with customers across our social media marketing activity and web content. We’re looking for someone creative, driven and proactive, with a passion for mobile-first videography content creation and what performs well on social media (in particular, YouTube, TikTok and Reels), in addition to ‘sticky’ web content to encourage customers to be engaged with our products and services, driving inquiries and increasing the likelihood of conversion. You must be able to work to strict deadlines on completing set briefs, in addition to being a self-starter and ‘reactive’ - autonomously capitalising on joining in on online trending content quickly. You must be quick and efficient to ideate, plan, storyboard, shoot, edit, review and draft captions, falling part of our wider Content marketing strategy, to help us achieve set out objectives and meet agreed targets. You will provide a professional, engaging and informative stream of content to consistently boost awareness and advocacy for our brands, products and services, as well as enhance any internal PR and clear, professional colleague communication channels. As part of the Content team, you will be responsible for helping to maximise reach and engagement across social media channels with exciting content (both imagery and video), as well as seek out the best performance when situated on the website. You’ll be expected to ideate and deliver upon creative ideas which will be shared across platforms reaching current and new audiences. Alongside delivery, you will adapt your content based on insights and analytics. This role is expected to collaborate with the wider marketing team, aligning efforts with our HR, Social, PR, Events, Partnerships, and the in-house Studio teams to deliver successful project outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Working to set deadlines or autonomously within tight timeframes, ensuring your content is reactive and timely, ideate, plan, film and edit content tailored for use across various social media platforms and when embedded in our website, contributing to achieving targets set out within agreed Social and Content strategies. Optimise relevant content for each social media platform (format, length, captions, etc) to maximise reach and engagement. Stay up to date with current social media trends and audio to integrate into content where relevant Organise video shoots in relevant locations (i.e. dealerships, head office) for a range of content including new model launches, product demonstrations, internal colleague communications etc Monitor key performance metrics across all content created and utilise actionable insights to refine and improve future content. This role is to be fully accountable for the produced content’s quality and performance Be able to travel and complete some weekend work in order to capture content with product, partnerships and events, maximising the opportunities these afford. Qualifications and Skills: Demonstrated experience in filming quality and engaging mobile-first (TikTok/Reel) and long form landscape (YouTube) video content, falling part of successful social media campaigns. Please be prepared to share portfolio to evidence. A drone licence to capture aerial content or bespoke shots to enhance both mobile-first and long form landscape video content. A keen interest and understanding of current social media trends (including what makes a successful YouTube channel, or potentially a viral TikTok), with a good grasp of leveraging social media platforms, including the trending sounds libraries and video thumbnails, to help promote a product or service. Strong attention to detail and sense of visual storytelling within mobile-first format and in creating optimised content for YouTube. Must have a passion to drive engaging and creative ideas that differentiate from ‘the norm’ and push the business forward. Strong competence with photo and video editing software tailored to social media content, both in-platform (often for mobile-first content), and externally (for YouTube). Competency with graphic design, animation and visual effects typically found in social media content is also preferential. Experience populating a YouTube channel and leveraging the platform as a channel for driving inquiries or increasing the likelihood of conversion. Great personal organisational and project management skills, with an ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously or ‘on-the-go’, to ensure we hit trends and are ‘reactive’ quickly and efficiently. High level of written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft persuasive and engaging captions for social media. Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners. Passion for all things automotive and automotive-themed social media content. Comfortable presenting and being on camera (when required). This is a hybrid role, based out of our central Gateshead offices and the salary is £32,000.
