Planning Engineer - Gloucester Due to continued growththe position of Planning Engineer has become available to join our successful team based in Gloucester. We have a fantastic opportunity on our EDF Project Controls Resource Framework to be involved in the exciting challenge of defueling and decommissioning the AGR nuclear power station. This is a first of a kind endeavour in the UK. As a Planning Engineer you will be a fundamental part of our Project Controls team responsible for providing planning support, working with Project Managers to develop and manage schedules to incorporate risk, change, resource requirements and cost. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, control, monitor, analyse and report on schedule related aspects for designated projects with a portfolio • Establish and monitor a cost and resource loaded, logic linked, baseline plan for the project in accordance with EDF processes • Capture project budgetary costs and resources in the plan to determine time phasing of expenditure and the total project budget • Establish robust Work Breakdown and Project Control Structures in terms of project scope • Maintain and control project baselines in line with company procedures and guidance, challenging schedule and cost variances against the baseline plan • Lead on EVM methodology and practice within the project • Regular interfacing and integration with the project controls team to maintain an aligned financial position with the Project Plan Role Requirements • Experience / understanding of Earned Value Analysis and Primavera P6 • Experience in building cost and resource loaded plans and working across the project lifecycle • Must be eligible for CTC level Security Clearance (3 years residency in the UK) • Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive • Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way • Must be customer focussed by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating and meeting their needs We have a vibrant, challenging and growing business, with project environments that provide tremendous opportunities for everybody.
