Join an award-winning Ground Engineering consultancy as a Geo-environmental Engineer/Project Manager, where you will lead and manage projects related to contaminated land assessment and remediation. This role involves overseeing various project phases, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management: Plan and execute contaminated land projects in line with scope, budget, and timeline to achieve client objectives.
2. Technical Leadership: Lead multi-disciplinary teams, coordinating workstreams to ensure high-quality project outcomes.
3. Financial & Progress Monitoring: Oversee project performance, ensuring budgets and timelines are met.
4. Subcontractor & Supply Chain Management: Procure and manage subcontractors for site-based activities.
5. Client Relationship Management: Maintain and develop client relationships, including introducing new clients and promoting company services.
6. Health & Safety Compliance: Prepare risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), ensuring safety remains a core project priority.
7. Proposal & Business Development: Create proposals, develop pricing strategies, and assess technical and commercial risks.
8. Process Improvement: Support the Associate Director in enhancing project delivery processes and tools.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, or a related field (Master’s preferred but not essential).
2. Chartered Status: In a relevant discipline (Geologist, Environmental Scientist, Engineer, or Waste Management).
Technical Expertise:
1. Proven experience in contaminated land consultancy.
2. Strong understanding of site investigation and assessment methodologies.
3. In-depth knowledge of risk assessment frameworks (e.g., CLEA, RTM) and experience conducting Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessments.
4. Familiarity with waste assessments and management guidance (e.g., DoWCoP) and Material Management Plans.
5. Experience in proposal writing and project costing.

2. Excellent leadership and collaboration abilities within multidisciplinary teams.
3. Ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints.
4. Familiarity with relevant software tools and data interpretation techniques.
Other Requirements:
1. Full UK Driving License and willingness to travel occasionally to client sites.
