We have a vacancy for a Receptionist/Welfare Assistant to work at both Henry Moore Primary School and Milwards Primary School for 4 days per week.
This is a part-time term post but the successful applicant will be required to work some non-pupil days and some weeks/days in the holidays.
Responsible to the Health and Safety Co-ordinator/Pastoral Manager and the Headteacher.
The hours of work are to be agreed, but will be between 7.30 am to 5.45 pm.
Salary: NJC Scale 3, Point 5 - Point 6, dependent upon experience.
FTE is £25,496 - £25,889, including £706 fringe. Actual salary dependent on hours worked.
Start Date: As soon as possible.
Closing Date: Friday 17th January at Midday.

Job Description
Main responsibilities:
1. To administer basic first aid to pupils, staff and visitors to school.
2. To administer lifesaving medication, based on the individual medical care plans.
3. Midday Assistant Duty when necessary.
4. To attend to the basic personal health and welfare needs of pupils.
5. Keeping staffroom tidy and clean.
6. Restocking toilets and cleaning when necessary.
Procedures/tasks:
1. Answering telephone calls and taking messages.
2. Medical practical and clerical duties.
3. Supervision of pupils.
4. Cleaning, including bodily fluids.
5. Admin/Clerical duties.
6. Any other duties required by the school.
Attributes required:
1. Excellent telephone manner.
2. Ability to deal tactfully and confidently, ensuring that enquiries from visitors, parents, staff and pupils are dealt with confidentially.
3. Cheerful, polite & conscientious.
4. Smart professional appearance.
5. Flexibility and able to work on own initiative.
