Role Highlights: Full-time, permanent position at a supportive Alternative Provision in Bexley Teach Maths to secondary-aged students who may face challenges in mainstream education, including those with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs or special educational needs (SEN) Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons that cater to a range of abilities Support students to develop both their mathematical skills and their confidence in the subject Work closely with a team of dedicated staff, including teaching assistants and SEN specialists, to provide individualized support Track student progress, adapting teaching methods and providing tailored interventions to support learning Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment Experience & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching Maths at secondary level, ideally in an alternative provision, SEN, or PRU setting Strong understanding of the Maths curriculum and the ability to differentiate effectively for diverse learning needs A patient and empathetic approach to working with students who may have SEMH or behavioural challenges Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills Enhanced DBS check required Why Join Us?
