Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.28 an hour; this increases to £15.41 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location and skills.
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too.
Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As a Shift Leader, you’ll face interesting challenges as you oversee the store from the shop floor and strive to make things better for customers, colleagues, and communities every day.
As a Shift Leader you’ll:
* Work in a fast-paced retail environment.
* Take ownership of running duty shifts, coordinating the team to deliver a clean, well-stocked store.
* Be there for customers, listening to them and ensuring they leave satisfied.
* Look for ways to improve service, including coaching your colleagues.
* Guide and support your colleagues in-store.
* Assist managers in delivering actions that help improve store operations.
* Lead by example.
You will be responsible for:
* Coordinating the store team to deliver an easy shopping experience for customers.
* Supporting colleagues in delivering daily priorities.
* Opening and closing the store.
* Being the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of a manager.
* Ensuring the store is clean, tidy, and well-presented.
* Supporting managers in coordinating events.
* Providing great customer service.
* Staying knowledgeable about store performance.
* Following health and safety routines.
