Our client, a respected entity in the HTP sector, is seeking a Registered Building Inspector to join their team and manage a workload in and around Southampton. Key Responsibilities:
Conducting thorough inspections of buildings to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
Reviewing and approving building plans and specifications
Providing expert advice on building control matters to clients and stakeholders
Maintaining accurate records of inspections and issued permits
Communicating effectively with contractors, builders, and property owners
Ensuring all projects meet the required safety and quality standards
Keeping up-to-date with the latest building regulations and HTP sector developments
Advising on remedial actions where necessary and following up on corrective measures
Job Requirements:
Experience in building control and inspection, with a focus on residential projects
Registered as a Building Inspector (Class 1 or higher)
Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Professionally qualified or equivalent within the construction/HTP sector
Proficient in maintaining thorough and accurate records
