An exciting career opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Pub Manager to help run our Pub & B&B based in Aston, Birmingham. Steeped in one hundred years of history, serving the local community with its warm hospitality. This fantastic opportunity is seeking a proactive and charismatic Pub Manager with Personal Alcohol Licence. Previous Pub Management experience is essential along with cellar experience, clean driving licence and own transport.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
* Staff Management: Recruiting, training, and supervising staff to ensure high standards of service. Scheduling shifts and managing staff performance.
* Financial Management: Managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximising profitability. Overseeing cash handling and financial reporting.
* Customer Service: Ensuring all customers receive a warm welcome and excellent service. Handling any customer complaints or issues efficiently.
* Inventory Management: Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and conducting regular inventory checks.
* Health and Safety: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
* Event Management: Organising and hosting events, including live music, themed nights, and private functions.
* Marketing and Promotion: Developing and implementing promotional activities to attract customers. Managing social media and online presence.
Personal Attributes & Experience:
* Supporting the pub owner in overseeing daily operations, including managing staff, inventory, and finances.
* Proven track record as an experienced Pub Manager in a previous or current role within the hospitality industry.
* Must hold Personal Alcohol Licence.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Must have cellar experience – this includes pipe cleaning, wash-down of cellar, check gas, barrels and cleaning fluids.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Attention to detail and a proactive approach.
* Good financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Demonstrate a passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to providing an outstanding customer experience.
* Creative thinking in increasing sales and promotion.
* Knowledge of the local area and its patrons
* Clean Driving Licence and own transport
