Do you have experience leading a team and hands-on proficiency with workshop tools and processes? If so, you could be our new Construction Manager.
The Construction Manager is a permanent post within Leeds Playhouse Scenic Workshop. The Construction team consists of the Construction Manager, Deputy Construction Manager, 2 Scenic Construction Technicians, and freelance carpenters and metalworkers as required.
The Scenic Workshop includes the Construction Department, Scenic Art, and Props Departments, and is part of the Playhouse Production Department. The workshop builds all in-house Leeds Playhouse productions and several co-productions, working closely with Creative Teams and other Production departments to deliver high-quality productions.
You will take a proactive role overseeing and coordinating the construction staff, ensuring efficient resource use and high-quality results. You will also oversee the management and operational duties of the construction department, with support from the Head of Scenic Workshop and Deputy Construction Manager.
This is a full-time, permanent contract of 40 hours per week over 5 days. Evening and weekend work will be required. Pay for this role is £31,702 per year, plus UK Theatre/BECTU commercial get-outs and overtime payments.
