This pivotal role will see you take ownership of our Hydraulic Modelling Programme and its associated data services, ensuring their continued excellence. Key Responsibilities Technically and Strategically guide the Hydraulic Modelling function including internal and external service provision Maintenance of quality calibration through live modelling and maintenance of drift Provide thought guidance on hydraulic modelling to the business and serve as potable hydraulic systems SME Grow the function in line with industry needs and emerging technology Aim to be leading the industry in terms of Network Intelligence and Insights. Assist the Asset Intelligence Department growth and development What do you need? Skills and Qualifications Experienced in InfoWorks WS Pro including functionality such as User Programable Controls, Open Data Import / Export Centre including scripts, SQL and live data configuration including use as a time-varying control. Experienced with GIS packages such as QGIS, MapInfo or ARCGIS. Recent clean water network model building and updating from CAD/GIS and model calibration. Processing and analysing Telemetry or SCADA data (flow, pressure, level etc.) and performing demand analytics and studies. Experience within planning field (pressure/flow/quality) testing. Experienced in undertaking technical reviews of models and reports. Familiarity with the relevant British Standards and clean water network modelling specifications of UK water companies. Experience with Water Regulatory requirement and impacts on water utilities. Proven ability to guide the delivery of ancillary technical projects, and hydraulic modelling programmes and interacting with Hydraulic Modelling consultants. Ability to take on project sponsorship roles for the betterment of the Hydraulic Modelling Function. Be able to provide technical knowledge in hydraulic modelling to the business. Strong, collaboration and communication skills in escalating issues, oral presentations and written reports and scopes, to colleagues, non-technical staff and consultants Engineering Degree qualified (preferential but not necessary) Chartered with a relevant professional institution such as CIWEM or ICE or demonstrated commitment towards attainment (subscription paid). Proven post-Engineering graduate experience strongly influenced by clean water Asset Performance, planning or management experience including network design and optimisation, pressure management, hydraulic modelling etc. OR Extensive hydraulic modelling experience from apprenticeship to senior level. Maths and Science A levels preferred.
