Job Role:
Taylor Woodrow are recruiting for an Academy Manager to join their Learning and Development team based in Watford.
Reporting to the Head of Organisational Development and working with the wider Human Resources team, the Academy Manager will be responsible for supporting the development, delivery and implementation of the focused learning and development strategy and the operational implementation of the plans.
Duties:
* Working in partnership with HR managers, to act as an internal consultant on learning and development activities, ensuring Company policy is adhered.
* Advise Senior managers on learning and development activities which contribute to achieving business plans and assist in long-term planning for learning and development
* Lead the design and implementation of career pathways, where appropriate including the continued improvement of business structured training programmes to help managers to develop their team members
* Enhance competence by facilitating the provision of a range of learning and development opportunities that are available to all employees and prioritised by needs analysis
* Manage the implementation of spend against agreed objectives, including Identifying opportunities and support for external learning and development funding in line with company financial
* arrangements and procedures for the business sector/s.Track budgets and negotiate contracts.
* Manage Academy administration support for sector/s ensuring that data and records are accurate, providing management data to business sector/s to assist in decision making about Learning and Development priorities, ensuring consistency across sectors
* Management of ‘Trainees’ for example, Apprentices, Sponsored Students, Graduates, by taking a lead on recruitment, review and development.
* Being the point of contact for employees on Learning and Development, undertaking regular site/project visits to provide ‘onsite surgeries’
* Maximise utilisation of the Apprenticeship levy
* Take a lead in facilitating external career events
Person Specification
* Previous experience in a learning and development role.
* CIPD Level 3 is advantageous but not essential
