Key Account Manager
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Key Account Management
2. Focus on Oil and Gas sector
3. Sell bespoke mechanical components and solutions
4. Work with major oil and gas OEMs and wellhead manufacturers
5. Develop and maintain key accounts across Scotland
6. Collaborate with regional sales and account teams
About the Company:
Our client is a world-leading manufacturer of bespoke mechanical components for various industrial sectors, including nuclear, power, oil & gas, food, process, defence, steel, chemical, semiconductor, and pharmaceutical. Established for many years, they have a turnover exceeding £150 million globally and are renowned for their manufacturing capabilities.
Compensation:
£45,000- £55,000 Basic salary (experience dependent)
OTE £70,000 - £80,000 realistic OTE
Home Office, Quality Company Car, Pension, Laptop/iPad, Mobile Phone, Credit Card
Location:
Scotland - Home Based (can live anywhere in Scotland or The Borders)
The Candidate:
1. Knowledge and experience in manufacturing, components, engineering, and strategic key account management.
2. Understanding of the oil and gas market, including upstream and downstream processes.
3. Strong strategic thinker with exceptional business development and relationship-building skills.
4. Ability to develop new business opportunities and upsell/cross-sell.
5. Excellent communication skills to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
6. Proven track record in business-to-business sales, with experience in medium to long cycle selling.
7. Mechanical Engineering background (degree, apprenticeship, or relevant experience).
8. Familiarity with products such as seals, gaskets, valves, pumps, and rotating equipment.
Product training will be provided.
