We are looking to recruit passionate Female Support Workers (Driver preferably but not essential) to join our dedicated team of Support Workers in Northallerton.
You will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45 for any sleep in shifts carried out. The payment for sleep ins is non-contractual.
Do you want to make a positive difference to people’s lives? As a Support Worker, flexibility is key, as you may be required to work a variety of different shifts including weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays. Shifts vary including mornings, afternoons, evenings, sleep ins, and waking nights.
The role of a Support Worker can be challenging at times, so it is essential to have a positive mindset with a desire to improve the lives of those with a learning disability. You will need to be quick-thinking with a positive can-do attitude.
What does a Support Worker do?
As a Support Worker, you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, helping them live a more comfortable, dignified, liberated, and happy life.
* Supporting people to live independently – budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments, and cooking healthy meals.
* Relationship building – supporting individuals to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
* Community & Social Inclusion - supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and social events to promote life skills and individuality.
* Personal care - assisting with daily routines, including prompting medication and helping with bathing and using the bathroom. Not all Support Worker roles include high levels of personal care.
