If so, APPLY NOW Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Shift Manager to effectively manage a production shift ensuring the execution and management of the production plan whilst producing product to the highest standards. Always reinforcing a safe working environment. Optimising performance and ensuring efficiencies are delivered and improved where possible. Undertake a hands-on working approach to the management of your shift. Job Duties: Ensure that all health, safety and environmental rules and systems are strictly adhered to. Carry out risk assessments and the identification of hazards helping to develop safe operating procedures and train staff in those procedures. Carry out analysis, identify root cause and implement corrective and preventative actions. Liaise with engineering/maintenance personnel to ensure engineering tasks and PPM requests are actioned on time. Ensure all customer requirements are efficiently and effectively planned and scheduled to maintain appropriate stock levels and achieve on time delivery. Communicate daily with the Production Manager in relation to any changes in capacity requirements identifying any possible issues and solutions. Report production onto the system. Receive incoming goods onto the system. Answer out of hours telephone calls and resolve any issues as appropriate. As part of this to be available at weekend on a rota basis to answer calls. Professionally and directly manage a team to deliver effective operational service. This is to include working with them in a “hands on” capacity as required. Maintain good working relationships with internal departments. Drive a procedurally driven culture within their teams. Develop, inspire, support and guide individuals. Maintain regular dialogue with your team; discuss performance, improvements and provide direction. Conduct Performance management reviews in line with Company policy. Set challenging objectives which reinforce required competencies. Work closely with Production Manager to ensure good communication and optimal team working. Maintain discipline and liaise with Human Resources. Organise manning of the shifts and control overtime requirements within budgetary constraints. Deliver toolbox `talks and relay any relevant training information to your teams. Requirements: Good working knowledge of workplace law. Skilled in leading investigations and disciplinaries up to final warning stage. Knowledge of industrial production processes. Proven management experience. Commercially focused. Excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent decision-making skills. An analytical and logical mind. Ability to work under own initiative and lead a team. Effective organisation and planning abilities. Salary: £45,000 Per Annum. Working hours: 3 shift system, Days, Nights and Afters. This is a Full time, Permanent position
