Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Nurse to join the patient flow team across the Southport and Ormskirk sites As a senior nurse within the Acute Trust, you will manage and maintain patient safety through effective and efficient movement of patients from both emergency and planned admissions, through to their appropriate in-patient bed; using the principle- 'right bed, right time, first time'. Out of hours you will support the on call team with your senior clinical experience and insight to maintain patient safety and quality care. You will work closely with the Emergency department, assessment areas and in-patient flow team, ensuring patient safety and quality of care is maintained at all times. You will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to manage stressful and time sensitive situations. This is an established, experienced team and you will be supported and developed to meet both yours and the Trusts expectations for such a critical role. Main duties of the job Maintain and contribute to effective communication systems within the team. Manage relationships with Trust staff, patients, and relatives.
