Role: Electrical Team Leader (nights)

Working hours: 41.08 (Sunday – Thursday)

We are on the hunt for an Electrical Team Leader to come and join our night Engineering team based out of our Castleford site.
Within this role you will report into one of our Engineering Supervisors and work as part of our fantastic wider Engineering team. To enable HARIBO sugary success, within this role you will play a key role in supporting the department through ensuring that colleagues are motivated in their role which will enable safe, efficient and high standards of engineering support.
You will also be responsible for all electrical decisions whilst on shift to ensure the delivery of the engineering schedule whilst also maintaining health and safety, quality and food safety standards within the environment of continuous improvement and engagement for colleagues.
To thrive within this role, it is important that key relationships are developed with a variety of departments including; Production, Packing, HSE, Technical Services and the People Team.

1. Monitoring the standard of electrical work carried our across the building including organising and supervising jobs
2. Allocating and controlling resources (nominals)
3. Ordering and maintaining stock levels of spare parts
4. Understanding department goals and targets
5. Making decisions
6. Problem solving i.e. resolving and reporting any breakdown
7. Continuously looking to identify and implement ways to improve the performance of the departments e.g. improving machine efficiency
8. Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with any permits to works, job recording and fire alarms
Can you supply our essential ingredients?
9. Previous experience within a Food Manufacturing environment
10. A recognised electrical apprenticeship
11. Awareness and knowledge of health and safety and food hygiene standards
12. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate across a variety of levels
13. The ability to work individually or part of a wider team
14. Experience of supervising a team
15. Having the knowledge and experience in delivering detailed reports and combined with the ability to present information to a variety of stakeholders
16. A commitment to continuous improvement
17. Strong project management skills
