The Global Risk Function’s goal is to proactively detect, manage and mitigate risks at BCG while addressing the evolving business needs and the ever-changing risk landscape of the firm. The Risk Function is comprised of seven teams: Compliance, Assurance & Advisory, Enterprise Risk Management, Strategy & Operations, Data Protection, Global Security, and Information Security. Collectively, we are all on a mission to enable the business, navigate and mitigate any risks proactively, and protect the business with effective controls. We support embedding a risk-based mindset to each office, internal function, Managing Director and Partner (MDP), and all employees who ultimately bear the responsibility of our actions as the collective front line at the firm. We are looking to recruit a Change and Communications Director to provide strategic support for our Global Risk Function to drive transparency, collaboration and unified messaging across our various risk teams to drive a risk aware culture at BCG. This role will sit within BCG’s Risk Strategy and Operations team and will be a core member of the Global Risk Function. On a journey to scale and support a $15-20B firm, this role plays a critical role in embedding key strategic activities and innovation within Global Risk. We are seeking a highly experienced, self-motivated individual who will be responsible for developing and executing a governance framework around strategic communications and change to bring forth the next generation of operational excellence and front line engagement to BCG. The Communications and Change Management Director brings knowledge, expertise and experience collaborating with delivery teams and senior stakeholders. Given the importance of this high-profile role, this position calls for a flexible, professional leader who has proven industry experience leading transformation and organizational change. You will work with a team of experts to support the delivery of BCG’s Global Risk initiatives and priorities, using your experience to maximize business engagement and impact. You will deeply understand the needs of Risk stakeholders, BCG’s frontline, identify gaps, and own the implementation and communication efforts around individual initiatives as well as a holistic Risk Team approach to communications and change. You will also partner with other communications and change management experts in throughout BCG to identify, leverage, and influence messaging while contributing to best practices and lessons learned across the firm. Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to): Develop and execute a strategic governance framework, communication plan, and change management process for streamlined stakeholder approvals, cross-functional coordination where required and delivery. Lead and deliver communications and change management approaches for risk initiatives, focusing on identifying synergies and connections both within the risk team and beyond Team with other functions and stakeholders as needed to align messaging, embed processes, and pursue value added action to support our business Conduct stakeholder assessments, identifying key stakeholders/areas of focus, understanding gaps in stakeholder risk awareness, and develop stakeholder engagement and communication plans to address and mitigate risks and further our front line engagement activities Conduct change impact assessments, identifying risks to delivery/adoption, and articulate practical and actionable mitigation activities Understand the short/mid/long term roadmaps, and proactively identify and clearly articulate tactical and strategic communications and change priorities to support the roadmap and priorities of the team Identify, baseline and track change management KPIs and metrics in accordance with the Risk Management tribe OKRs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize impact to our firm and facilitate change activities To be successful in this role, you will need to possess some key attributes including (but not limited to): Strategic communication framework development, change management approaches Driving change, teaching, coaching, mentoring and collaborating cross-functionally Presence, communications, and listening - with an ability to engage effectively both in 1:1 and large group settings Ability to build relationships at the functional and global level to ensure quality delivery, strong teaming, develop team skills for people you do not directly manage, and improve the overall success of projects and programs Recognizing the experience and engagement level needed for the audience for which you are creating content. Solving complex problems and identifying innovative solutions – you have an adaptive and creative mindset, strong business intuition, Proving a data-driven approach to measure successes, values add and impact Being an advocate for complex efforts and championing initiatives despite pushback Learning and adapting – you are an eager and consistent learner, open to feedback and interested in continuous improvement Prioritizing and working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and service-oriented environment Be a natural leader, coach, and trusted advisor with the ability to challenge and remedy obstacles to achieve successful outcomes and demonstrate value Working with a virtual team spread out across time zones and being committed to cross-functional collaboration to achieve the best results for the organization 10 years of relevant experience in the risk management, consulting, and/or communications space, including a proven track record working on transformational change programs with significant business impact in a global organization with outstanding organizational, communication, presentation and executive influence skills Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology or Social Sciences and a Project Management certification or equivalent experience; Change Management Professional certification a plus Proven track record of effective and clear communications and change management through influence, and building long-term relationships, and executive presence verbal and written communication skills Experience and knowledge of Change Management principles, methodologies and tools with the ability to manage strategy development, work priorities and processes to ensure focus and execution. Ability to apply strong business skills and judgment to complex and diverse situations with exceptional executive influence and strong partnering capability to demonstrate the value that a risk aware culture brings to BCG Demonstrated ability to problem solve, prioritize and deliver with an eye for detail on the most critical issues that have the highest impact on the organization and business needs. It is likely that you will need to juggle multiple initiatives, and short and long-term priorities, so you will need to be able to work effectively with significant ambiguity and fluctuating priorities and constraints Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and a detail-oriented mindset across deliverables, experience with Salesforce, Hubspot a plus
