Summary of the Role: We are looking for a dedicated Plumbing & Gas Assessor to support our apprenticeship and full-time plumbing programmes. You will play a crucial role in verifying student work, ensuring high standards, and preparing learners for successful careers in the plumbing industry.
Scope and Purpose of the Role: As a Plumbing Assessor, you will engage with employers, provide guidance to learners, and deliver high-quality teaching and assessment. You will ensure that all learning programmes meet the requirements of the College, employers, funding bodies, and awarding organisations.
What we're looking for:
* Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Heating.
* A1 and V1 Awards.
* GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent).
* Relevant industrial experience.
* Understanding of apprenticeship frameworks and employer needs.
* Experience in gas installation.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Commitment to equality of opportunity and high standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Engage with employers to develop relationships and promote our training programmes.
* Provide pre-course and on-course guidance to support learner progression.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver effective teaching and assessment.
* Ensure learners are enrolled, supported, and progressing in line with requirements.
* Develop and deliver plumbing subjects at appropriate levels.
* Undertake reviews, assessments, and verification tasks.
* Manage administrative tasks related to learner registration, attendance, and record keeping.
* Contribute to quality assurance systems and curriculum development.
* Participate in staff performance appraisals and continuous professional development.
* Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support College provision.
