We are seeking a highly skilled Aftersales Senior Diagnostic Engineer to lead complex diagnostics and contribute to world-class customer quality. This critical role sits at the intersection of cutting-edge engineering and customer satisfaction, driving innovation and excellence in the EV domain.
Key Responsibilities
1. Advanced Diagnostics and Problem-Solving:
* Perform in-depth diagnostics and troubleshooting of complex electrical, electronic, and software systems in electric vehicles.
* Develop, validate, and implement diagnostic procedures for fault isolation and resolution.
* Utilise diagnostic tools, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, CAN analysis, and vehicle-specific software, to identify root causes.
2. Customer and Dealer Support:
* Provide expert-level support to dealerships and customers for escalated diagnostic issues.
* Deliver remote and on-site technical assistance, ensuring minimal downtime and a superior customer experience.
* Maintain comprehensive records of diagnostics performed and solutions implemented.
3. Collaboration and Communication:
* Work closely with engineering teams, supply chain, and manufacturing to address systemic issues and implement corrective actions.
* Communicate technical findings to internal and external stakeholders, translating complex diagnostics into actionable solutions.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
* Analyse diagnostic data to identify trends and recurring issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Generate detailed reports on diagnostic performance, warranty claims, and field issues to guide decision-making.
* Contribute to the development of predictive maintenance strategies.
5. Training and Development:
* Develop and deliver technical training programs for dealership technicians and internal teams.
* Mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise in advanced diagnostics and problem-solving methodologies.
* Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure best practices are implemented.
6. Aftersales related support:
* Process Dealer parts orders for supply & arrange logistics for global delivery of spare parts
* Warranty claim approval and processing
7. Innovation and Special Projects:
* Support the launch of new electric vehicle models by developing diagnostic tools, workflows, and training materials.
* Drive innovation in diagnostic processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at improving EV reliability and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
* A degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field experience.
* Extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing complex automotive systems, particularly electric vehicles.
* Strong expertise in electrical systems, battery management, high-voltage components, and vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, etc.).
* Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools such as OBD scanners, oscilloscopes, and custom diagnostic interfaces.
* Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with technical and non-technical audiences.
* Commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated with the latest automotive technologies.
Desirable Skills
* Familiarity with automotive software development and coding (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C++).
* Experience with CRM systems and data analysis tools.
* Understanding of global automotive standards and regulations related to EVs.
