We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our friendly and committed maintenance team. This is a varied and busy role working as part of an established team to support the wellbeing, comfort, and safety of our patients who suffer from diverse mental health issues.
You will assist in:
1. Planned and unplanned maintenance both inside and outside of the building
2. Compliance with quality standards and statutory regulations
3. Working with contractors on site
4. Maintenance of the security of the buildings on site
5. Identification of damage, faults, and other issues
6. Regular internal and external patrols of units and grounds
7. Reporting of incidents, vandalism, and damage, maintaining accurate records and reporting procedures
The ideal candidate will have experience in providing practical maintenance support or a key interest in developing in this area. You will have good communication and interpersonal skills, be a great team player, and have an awareness of health and safety. A full clean driving licence is essential.
Centrally located with easy access to Tunbridge Wells, Hastings, Ashford, and Maidstone, The Priory Hospital, Ticehurst House has 43 beds across 2 service lines: Acute Adult and Acute Private.
We offer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient specialist mental health services for adults in a safe and supportive environment.
