Main duties of the job
We’re looking for an Administrator who’s not afraid of change. In fact, we want someone who truly embraces change and innovation and wants to join a diverse team in a busy but rewarding department where they can work both independently and as part of the multi-disciplinary team. Operating within the clearly defined limits of our policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines, and as part of a team, you’ll aid the smooth running of the CSU and reflect high-quality customer care in all your daily activities. This is a 24/7 facility and means working very flexibly on a rota system that can change at short notice due to short notice absence or the needs of the department.
All training required to undertake the post will be provided, in addition to support for your personal and professional development. And, as well as encouraging your progression, via our appraisal process, you'll also have the opportunity to access relevant training i.e. ECDL, NVQ Level 2 in healthcare administration/supervisory skills.
The department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and as such you will need to be flexible in your approach to working hours. You can expect to do early shifts (approx. 7am to 3pm), late shifts (approx. 2pm to 10pm), and overnight shifts (approx. 9pm to 7.30am).
