Personal Assistant to Head of Service (XN04)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as the PA to the Children's Management team within the Leeds Children's Hospital. The role is to provide administration support to the Head of Nursing, General Manager, and wider Management team.
The post holder will be accountable for the provision of a comprehensive personal assistant to the Leeds Children's Hospital management team.
The role will include secretarial activities for example diary management and recruitment, but will also include developing, maintaining, and managing office and information systems in support of the Management team.
The post holder will also have a significant role in supporting relationships external to the Trust on behalf of the Leeds Children's Hospital management team, e.g., coordinating visits and meetings with a wide range of stakeholders, and organising a variety of meetings from 1:1s through to large complex meetings.
The post holder will be co-located with the Management team and will work closely with the PA to the Management team.
The role is fixed term to cover maternity leave.
Main duties of the job
The role is to provide a consistent and high-quality Personal Assistant (PA) service to the Senior Management team.
The PA will have oversight of the administration of the team and ensure they are managed efficiently and effectively, and where it is not possible that the correct escalation procedures are followed. The role also supports the recruitment process for both medical and admin across the Leeds Children's Hospital.
Applicants should be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people including all levels of hospital staff and external organisations.
Applicants should have excellent communication and organisational skills. You must be able to work as part of a team, manage your own workload, use your own initiative, work to tight deadlines, and have the ability to work under pressure while being committed to providing an excellent service for Leeds Children's Hospital.

Job responsibilities
To provide administration and recruitment support to the Leeds Children's Hospital.
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a full and effective PA administration support service to the Senior Management team.
The post holder will be expected to arrange and plan their own work on a day-to-day basis within the overall demands and priorities of the department. The administration will include diary management, medical and non-clinical recruitment, supporting the management team with HR issues, and ordering stock for the team and other services within Leeds Children's Hospital.

* Literate and numerate
