Job Purpose As a member of the engineering team, you will primarily be responsible for the management of technical documentation for a range of projects. The ideal candidate will be able to think logically, is focused and able to work efficiently but, accurately to meet deadlines. They must be reliable and detail-oriented with the ability to facilitate accurate communication across projects to stakeholders of mixed backgrounds. Requirements Key Activities Responsible for the daily management of the document management system (DMS) to ensure the distribution of documents to project team member and stakeholders both internally and externally Utilise company DMS to track documents to maintain confidentiality and ensure completion of quality and management of change processes Maintenance and development of company document management process, including ensuring correct numbering and labelling of documents for identification and reference Development of training documents, as well as providing training for team members and other employees on document systems, both internal and external Ensure internal document management process and its interaction with external stakeholders is compliant with company quality management policy Provide support to project team members to ensure documents meet with requirements Creation and updating of relevant document templates Providing reports from DMS to ensure timely approval/review of documents Provide management reports to summarise Document Control performance Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of general tasks and duties, and that the job description may be subject to changes according to the requirements of the organisation. Key Skills & Experience Essential: National Vocational Qualification (NVQs) in document control or professional qualification in relevant subject/area 1-3 years’ experience is engineering document management/admin Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Word, Excel and Outlook or similar programmes Questioning nature, not afraid to ask silly questions. High level of integrity and diplomacy. A highly motivated, reliable and responsible individual. Has a genuine interest in the environment, sustainability and renewable energy. Desirable: Understanding of document control systems such as Accruent Meridian, Vienna Advantage, Opentext or Enovia. Experience of document control systems such as Accruent Meridian Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
