It’s an exciting time at Admiral as our Pet business continues to go from strength to strength following its launch in 2022 and acquisition of More Than Pet Insurance in 2024.
Our Product team is central to our ambitions, with a remit covering new product launches, existing product innovation and enhancing customer outcomes across both Admiral and More Than Pet insurance brands. Our ambitious growth plans mean that we are now searching for a Senior Product Manager to lead the Product team.
We are looking for an experienced leader in Product Management to join the team to contribute to our growth and profitability ambitions while delivering good customer outcomes. You will be a key part of the Pet Product management team working closely with the Head of Product and alongside the Pet Product Lead and Product & Performance Manager.
Responsibilities
* Create and foster an environment of customer obsession, creativity, and innovation.
* Support the entire department to get a product from idea to launch/market and past the MVP stage, inclusive of taking ownership of the associated customer-facing documents.
* Regularly monitor the market and understand our direct and complementary market competitors, and learn from adjacent sectors.
* Scope out threats and opportunities that come with changes in market conditions and trends. Come up with ideas and solutions to improve conversion or the quality of the products, acting on these proactively.
* Create a network of stakeholders who will all champion Pet's success, including working closely with:
o Pets Claims, Pricing and Underwriting to help maximize value for the Pet Insurance business and deliver great customer outcomes across pet wellness and claims.
o Marketing and Price Comparison to ensure that we drive growth of the product through clear customer communications alongside developing new, innovative propositions.
o Product Lead and IT to deliver Product changes and new developments, taking into account overall value relative to all change.
o Finance to understand the commercials, while regularly reviewing the business plans to understand the ROI and benefits realization.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, e.g., ensuring our products deliver Fair Value and good customer outcomes.
* Be aware of and ensure we meet our responsibilities in terms of compliance, data protection, and legal agreements with suppliers.
* Proactively identify potential business risks within the Pet Product area and manage controls for these risks.
Requirements
* Likeable, and good at building relationships quickly with strong stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and proactively, completer finisher, and able to bring new ideas to market quickly, test & learn.
* Strong project management skills, i.e., the ability to map out the bigger picture and set milestones while keeping the momentum of a piece of work and engaging the appropriate stakeholders.
* A leader: Someone who wants to develop a team and will devote time for this.
* Entrepreneurial mindset – likes product design, thinks outside the box, and is great at problem solving.
* Analytical and critical thinking – happy to challenge and consider new ideas.
* Good knowledge of the Pet Insurance Market would be beneficial.
