Main duties of the job The Head AHP will play a crucial role in strategic system leadership by bringing their unique professional AHP perspective, informed by their expertise & experience, on health & care issues to underpin the work across the ICB & wider ICS. They will ensure that AHP services are delivered to national strategy & policy, are high quality, efficient & are value for money. The Head AHP will be responsible for the strategic oversight & operational delivery of the AHP Programme & wider AHP & Professional Development team, to ensure that the quality function & associated work streams & programmes are planned & carried out effectively, working across & into all Nursing & Quality ICB quality functions. The Head AHP will work collaboratively with the Director of AHPs, Humber & North Yorkshire AHP Council & Faculty & other key clinical leaders and partners from across the system, in an integrated approach with a focus on AHP workforce, quality, safety, experience & commissioning; driving the continuous improvement of services and pathways through transformation & promoting challenge in achieving better outcomes and experience for the people and population that we serve.
