Mental Health Practitioner
Location: Isle of Sheppey HMP Elmley or HMP Swaleside.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: £39,338-£46,962 per annum, dependent on experience.
About the Role
We are working with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust to provide high-quality mental health services in a challenging environment.
As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will work closely with offenders and prison staff to identify and address mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities
* To assess and diagnose mental health conditions using standardized assessment tools.
* To develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the client's specific needs.
* To work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
* To maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and treatment plans.
Requirements
You must have a relevant qualification in mental health, such as a diploma or degree in psychology, social work, or nursing.
Experience working in a similar role, preferably within the prison setting, is highly desirable.
You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
