The Blue Coat School is looking to appoint a highly skilled, motivated, and qualified SENDCo.
We are a rapidly developing coeducational 11-16 Community School with 930 students. You would lead the school SEND department at an exciting time when we are looking to develop and re-define the SEN provision within our school. The SEN faculty comprises a talented team who support individualised and targeted intervention programmes, and engage, inspire, and challenge all of our young students to ensure an inclusive educational experience. The successful candidate will shape and develop the vision for SEN as well as further recruitment.
Candidates will be committed to the learning and development of students and support the strategic overview of the academic outcomes of learners with SEND. You will also be responsible for ensuring that children with SEND have access to a rich, broad, and balanced curriculum, which is inclusive of their needs. You will support the training for all teaching and support staff to ensure appropriate provision is in place for learners with SEND in both interventions and in the classroom.
The Blue Coat School, Basingstoke is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
