Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hotel Reservations and Revenue Manager to lead our reservations department and optimize the hotel’s revenue strategy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the reservations team, overseeing day-to-day operations, and utilizing dynamic pricing, demand forecasting, and inventory management to maximize profitability. This role is essential in driving occupancy rates, maintaining a high Average Daily Rate (ADR), and ensuring a seamless guest experience while supporting the overall revenue management strategy of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
Reservations Management:
1. Operations & Supervision: Oversee the daily operations of the reservations department, ensuring smooth service delivery and efficient booking processes. Manage reservation agents and handle guest inquiries, cancellations, and special requests.
2. Booking Optimization: Monitor and adjust booking strategies to maximize room availability and occupancy across all channels. Implement upselling strategies and manage group/corporate bookings.
3. Inventory & Capacity Management: Track room availability in real-time to prevent overbookings and optimize room allocation. Adjust sales strategies for peak and off-peak seasons, including managing restrictions and overbooking strategies.
4. Channel Management: Ensure consistency in pricing and availability across OTAs, GDS, and direct platforms. Maintain strong relationships with distribution partners to drive reservations.
5. Guest Relations: Train the reservations team to provide exceptional customer service. Manage complex requests and resolve booking issues while building relationships with repeat guests.
6. Forecasting: Collaborate with teams to forecast demand, analyse trends, and adjust strategies based on market conditions.
Revenue Management:
1. Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies to maximize revenue, adjusting rates based on demand, market trends, and competitor activity.
2. Demand Forecasting: Analyse booking patterns, seasonal trends, and competitor performance to forecast demand and adjust pricing and inventory strategies.
3. Inventory Control: Ensure efficient room inventory allocation and adjust restrictions based on demand, maximizing revenue through strategic management.
4. Competitor & Market Analysis: Conduct regular competitor analysis to stay competitive in the market and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
5. Revenue Optimization: Maximize additional revenue through upselling, targeted offers, and optimizing pricing for different guest segments.
6. Performance Reporting: Monitor KPIs such as ADR, RevPAR, and occupancy. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve revenue performance.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with sales and marketing teams to implement promotions and campaigns aligned with revenue goals.
8. System Management: Utilize revenue management systems and tools to automate pricing, improve forecasting, and track demand effectively.
Qualities we are looking for?
1. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
2. 3+ years of experience in hotel reservations, revenue management, or a related role.
3. Strong knowledge of revenue management systems, booking platforms, and pricing strategies.
4. Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
5. Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
6. Proven ability to optimize inventory and pricing strategies to maximize revenue.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel Property Management Systems (PMS).
