We have a brand-new opportunity available for a Senior Financial Reporting & Controls Manager to join our Finance leadership team in Nottingham.
We are looking for an experienced finance leader to lead the Financial Reporting team, providing oversight of the production/review of both internal and external financial reporting and maintenance of systems of control to allow for the provision of financial and regulatory information.
This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to join the Society during a critical period of transformation for the organisation. This role and the Financial Reporting team are critical in supporting the business to deliver the desired financial performance.
Here’s a taste of what you will be doing as a Senior Financial Reporting & Controls Manager at Nottingham Building Society:
* Lead, motivate and engage the Financial Reporting team which is responsible for the preparation and review of financial statements for both the Group and the Society.
* Provide financial insight, analysis and appropriate challenge of stakeholders in support of the delivery of the Society’s financial performance.
* Provide independent oversight and challenge to the activities of the Ledger Control team, including a high-level review of the month-end reconciliations and results.
* Monitor the latest developments in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS’s) and keep abreast of any changes and/or new standards.
* Oversee the year-end audit and interim review processes, acting as the day-to-day point of contact for the audit team.
* Support the Finance Director in the production and review of the investor reports required by third parties under secured funding vehicles.
* Support the Finance Business Partners to provide cost analysis for all projects.
* Oversee the production and sign-off of the bi-lateral securitisation month end reporting and reconciliation process, including cash-flows, liability waterfalls, investor reporting, STS reporting and bank and inter-company reconciliations.
About you:
We are looking for a finance leader with depth experience in financial accounting and reporting. You will have excellent knowledge and experience of IFRS 9 and statutory reporting standards.
You will have experience of cross-functional working and building strong relationships at all levels up to C-suite with the ability to present data to stakeholders in a clear, concise and digestible way.
You will be personable and commercial with excellent people leadership skills to motivate, engage and develop a small, high performing team.
