Job summary The Assistant Project Manager will play a key role in the delivery of the clinical directorate work programme, with a focus on the fixed term work to incorporate technology appraisals into guidelines and support the development of implementation toolkits, developing and implementing processes aligned to methods agreed in collaboration with other internal NICE teams. The Assistant Project Manager will work alongside other operational staff including programme and project managers to plan, co-ordinate and monitor the progress of individual projects, ensuring consistency across the work programmes. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for providing advice and support to coordinators and administrators in the directorate and act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Main duties of the job As an assistant project manager, you will support the Medicines Optimisation team across its varied portfolio of projects and activity, with the following key responsibilities: Lead on various projects and activities, including regularly reviewing operational procedures, identifying areas for improvement, and overseeing the implementation of agreed changes. Provide project management support including developing and managing systems for projects, recording activities and tracking progress Provide day to day support and advice to the coordinators and administrators in relation to administrative duties Ensure consistency across the work programmes and take the lead on projects where appropriate Contribute to the delivery of the functions of the Medicines Optimisation team Developing, updating and maintaining processes and systems used by the Medicines Optimisation team to support business operations About us The medicines optimisation team within the clinical directorate is responsible for embedding the safe, effective and innovative use of medicines into NICE outputs to enable the best possible outcomes.
