Instrumentation Calibration Technician Location: Trentham & Denby (Derby) Contract: Full-time Travel Required: Between Trentham and Derby sites Salary: £35k About the Role: Syntech Recruitment are currently working with this global company who are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Calibration Technician to join the team, specialising in the calibration and maintenance of process and furnace-associated equipment. This role involves ensuring equipment operates with precision and compliance within a high-tech manufacturing environment. If you have strong calibration expertise, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to quality, we’d love to hear from you Key Responsibilities: ✔ Calibration & Maintenance Perform calibration and repair of process equipment and furnace-related instruments. Conduct inspections, measurements, and calibrations following industry standards. Maintain accurate records of calibration work in a traceable and auditable manner.✔ Quality & Compliance Prepare and provide test specifications, ensuring adherence to metrology standards. Handle technical inquiries and liaise with clients on calibration-related matters. Participate in internal audits to maintain compliance with quality systems and operational requirements.✔ Health & Safety Ensure all work follows mandatory health and safety regulations. Follow correct procedures, instructions, and manufacturer’s specifications for all calibration tasks.✔ Efficiency & Performance Work efficiently to meet deadlines and targets for calibration tasks. Ensure calibration equipment and tools are properly maintained and meet operational requirements.What We’re Looking For: Essential Skills & Experience: ✅ Experience in instrumentation calibration and repair. ✅ Knowledge of process equipment, furnaces, and manufacturing instrumentation. ✅ Strong understanding of metrology and calibration standards. ✅ Ability to interpret technical specifications, test procedures, and reports. ✅ Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. ✅ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. ✅ Willingness to travel between sites (Trentham & Derby) as required. Desirable Skills & Experience: ➕ Experience in aerospace or manufacturing industries. ➕ Familiarity with high-precision calibration environments. ➕ Previous experience working in a calibration laboratory.
