Job Overview
Are you an RN with an interest in gastroenterology and the management of the acutely unwell patient and looking for a role at Wythenshawe Hospital?
We are looking for nurses with a passion for working with patients with gastroenterology conditions.
Do you feel you could deliver a high level of care to patients in an acute setting and provide up-to-date knowledge and skills to your colleagues on the management of patients with complex needs?
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dedicated and committed team at Wythenshawe Hospital within a inpatient 28 bedded ward.
A structured induction and training program ensure that our nurses receive the following:
* Band 5 induction - Corporate and Clinical induction - Preceptorship and clinical skills program for Nurses led by Practice Based Educators-Administration of IV drugs.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionate and sensitive manner. Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process. Act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre-registration students.
The post holder will take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team and the maintenance of high standards of quality patient care on a shift basis.
