Context SYSTRA are immediately hiring for an Architectural Designer, based in our York, Leeds or Manchester offices. Following the successful award of multiple landmark international projects, this is an exciting time to join SYSTRA’s Structural Team as we continue to develop and raise our profile in the UK & Ireland and across our global business regions. With a focus on delivering in the Transport and Sector; passenger stations, rail depots and energy from waste projects within the Architectural team SYSTRA benefits from being an integral discipline to this world leading multi-disciplinary transport design consultancy Missions/Main Duties Assist in the production of designs, drawings, schedules and calculations for design projects under the direction of a Senior Technician / Architect. Take responsibility for allocated tasks. Liaise with both architecture and wider multi-discipline colleagues to produce organised, collaborative built-environment design solutions. Competent use of appropriate industry standard CAD modelling software (REVIT). Work to achieve the agreed targets regarding the effective delivery of projects to current design, engineering and safety standards, within agreed timescales and budgets. Visit project sites as and when required with support of senior team members responsible for the project. Profile/Skills BA(Hons) Bsc (Hons) plus 2yr Diploma (assumes inc 1 yrs work exp) as a minimum. Experienced in the use of Autodesk REVIT with a good understanding of BIM modelling principles. Excellent understanding of the creative design process throughout the RIBA work stages. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop / InDesign to produce quality graphical presentations. Pro-active solution orientated approach. Motivated team player who works well under pressure and engages with colleagues.
