As a technician you will manufacture, test and package opto-electronic modules. You will be working with MRP and relevant production control systems to accurately record build data and test results and support other areas of the OEM build and system build when required, including PCB prep, testing, finishing and packing.
This is a perfect opportunity for someone who has previously worked in manufacture environment and has some experience in assembly of electronic or mechanical builds, quality testing and data recording.
Job Responsibility
* Build of Fibre Sensor Interrogators
* Testing of Fibre Sensor Interrogators during various stages of build
* Working to specific Production Process Procedures
* Adherence to QHSE policy and practices
* Excellent housekeeping within the production facility
* Suggesting potential process improvements which will increase yield or reduce cost
Ideal candidates will have the following:
* A handson and self-motivated team player
* Experience of within a low/medium volume manufacturing operation
* Working experience of electronics /mechanical build, parts or devices
* Meticulous and quality focused with high levels of concentration
* Used to working in a metricdriven production facility
* Knowledge or willingness to learn optical testing
* Confident in the use of PCs & test equipment
* Aptitude for engineering
* Independent problem solving
* Strong communication skills
* A positive outlook on life, enjoying learning with optimism to have fun and take pride in their work
