Put your skills to the test as a Skills Trainer with Leicestershire Police.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Team Leicestershire Academy, on a full-time, permanent basis delivering initial and refresher First Aid and Public & Personal Safety Training (PPST) to police officers and police staff in line with the College of Policing training guidelines.
You will also support in the developmental assessment process for students and will be responsible for the upkeep of the relevant course content and lesson plans to reflect the current needs of the Leicestershire Police and the requirements of the licensing body.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. You will plan and design training and development sessions in line with suitable risk assessments.
2. You will act as liaison on issues related to the skills training being delivered.
3. You will assist with the assessment, support, and development of initial student officers.
The must haves
1. Hold an accredited learning and development qualification at or above TEP level 3 (or equivalent).
2. Have previous experience in practical training.
3. Hold a current First Aid at Work qualification, or be willing to undertake this as part of the role.
