We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Care Homes for Children in Care Team as a Commissioning Support Officer. The team is responsible for a broad range of service provision which includes residential provision, fostering services, ‘BRICS and Steps’ services (Bail, Remand and short-term emergency placements) and housing with support for young people. In line with Child Friendly Warwickshire principles, you will work with the team to ensure the voice of children and young people is central to our activity. The successful candidate will carry out a range of activities which is likely to include: Engaging with children, young people and their families to gain their views about our current service offer and future service options. Responding to day-to-day queries from providers and operational staff regarding current provision. Carrying out research on local and national demand, provision and performance data. Supporting the development of service specifications and tender documents as part of the procurement of services. Working with frontline social care and health staff, our providers and partners to improve our service offer. This role is a fantastic opportunity to take a first step into commissioning and you will be supported to develop knowledge and experience on the job.
