Legal & Compliance Manager
Location: Chobham
Salary: Up to £40,000

Overview:
Outstanding opportunity for an ambitious professional to make a significant, long-lasting contribution to a high-profile business, at a key point in its development. You will ensure that the business and its employees comply with all relevant regulations, legislations, and internal policies.
Essentials:
1. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions with little information available.
2. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to analyse and interpret information quickly.
3. In-depth understanding of industry standards and regulations.
4. Excellent understanding of reporting procedures and record-keeping.
5. Excellent project management skills and the ability to be methodical and diligent.
6. Detail orientation and the ability to pay attention and identify minimal changes in regulations.
7. Excellent conflict management skills and the ability to dissolve any issues easily.
8. At least three years of experience in financial services, compliance management, legal practice, consultancy, and other managerial areas.
9. Must have proven working experience in UK conduct regulations, regulatory change management requirements, and applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead ISO 9001 and 27001 system maintenance and implementation.
2. Conduct internal audits across all compliance areas.
3. Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
4. Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously.
5. Revise procedures, reports, etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
6. Proactively identify, record, and escalate compliance risks to the relevant stakeholders.
7. Support the business by creating appropriate training materials and resources.
8. Assist the team in planning and implementing communications to ensure all staff are aware of their compliance obligations.
9. Assist the team in the deployment of compliance monitoring of processes including reviews and audits.
10. Work with the business to advise on general compliance in new processes and projects.
11. Manage the customer & supplier due diligence processes.
12. Complete DPIAs and data management security questionnaires.
