Job Description:
Are you passionate about empowering communities, creating positive change, and fostering a spirit of giving back?
As a dynamic, community-focussed charity, we believe in the power of volunteers to transform communities and are looking for a Volunteer Programme Coordinator to help us achieve our vision to change lives through culture.
We are delighted to have recently won further funding from the National Lottery Heritage Innovation Fund to support us in growing and expanding our volunteering programmes. This role is fixed term to help us not only create an industry-leading volunteering programme through engagement, development, and unique volunteering opportunities but also to support the development of pathways into volunteering and apprenticeships from our social impact programmes.
We are open to considering flexible working proposals such as hybrid working, part-time hours, and job share options.
A bit about you:
You’ll be the driving force of our volunteer programmes, ensuring our volunteers are engaged, motivated, and well-equipped to make a meaningful impact. You’ll be energetic, creative, highly organised, and self-motivated to help us improve our programme, expand our volunteer cohorts, and cultivate partnerships. You’ll be comfortable working with a variety of people as the first-line support and point of contact for everything volunteering.
You’ll bring previous experience of managing or coordinating staff or volunteers as well as working with systems and delivering reporting to aid decision-making. Importantly, you’ll be able to build strong relationships, influence others, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
What it’s like to work for us:
At Hampshire Cultural Trust, we have a vision to create inspirational cultural experiences that enrich and transform lives. We manage and support 20+ attractions across Hampshire and deliver county-wide outreach programmes that bring great culture to local communities. We also deliver a diverse range of wider social impact initiatives targeted at those who are most vulnerable or disadvantaged and who would not usually have access to arts and culture.
We are committed to promoting equality and diversity and a culture that actively values difference. We recognise that people from different backgrounds and experiences bring valuable insights to the workplace and enhance the way we perform and work. Our levels of employee engagement are high and our organisational culture is positive.
We will be running a dynamic recruitment process, so we encourage candidates to submit an application as soon as possible as we will be interviewing candidates before the closing date.
To apply, please fill in the application form with an up-to-date CV.
Closing date for applications: 2 February 2025
