Apply locations Cambridge, UK time type Full time posted on Posted Yesterday job requisition id JR104383 As an electrical qualified multiskilled engineer, the role will be orientated around electrical works with the requirement for flexibility and willingness to undertake other non-electrical works which fall within the scope of the service level agreement. This could be a variety of jobs relating to maintaining, repairing, and replacing assets around the site whether it be specific piece of equipment, works to a building or to the wider site infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring electrical systems and equipment remain in a safe operating condition
2. Identify and isolate electrical systems to ensure safety of others
3. Learn and adhere to the latest electrical regulations and prescribed standards
4. Diagnose and address functionality and safety issues
5. Maintaining relevant documentation / schematics associated with works completed
Tasks:
1. Complete planned preventive and reactive maintenance on various plant and general building infrastructure including but not limited to boilers, pumps, emergency generators, air handling units, lighting & power and fire alarms
2. Complete reactive repairs as needed ensuring work quality meets required standards
3. Ensuring all work is completed in a timely manner and all records are maintained and in accordance with the CMMS
4. Complete required weekly inspections and testing. E.g. check electrical systems to make sure they're safe
5. Complete replacements and small installation works as required
6. Supporting mechanical tasks as required
Education:
1. Formal electrical qualification (E.g. completed apprenticeship, Level 3 C&G or equivalent Electrical qualification etc), essential
2. Multiskilled in both Electrical and mechanical work, desirable
3. Completed latest edition of the IEE wiring regulations, essential
4. City and Guilds 2391 inspection and testing, desirable
5. Health and safety qualification (E.g. IOSH),( SSSTS and/or SMSTS) essential
6. Trained in operating MEWPs (E.g. IPAF), desirable
7. Drivers licence, essential
Experience:
1. Significant commercial or industrial electrical experience
2. Background of working within a maintenance department completing both Electrical and mechanical tasks
3. Demonstrable fault finding capability
Behavioural Competencies:
1. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with colleagues and third parties
2. Team player
Technical Competencies:
1. Previous use of a CMMS / CAFM tools
2. High Voltage Maintenance Knowledge
3. Computer literate
4. Can read and interpret Electrical Schematics
5. Understanding of PLC
6. HVAC knowledge
