Key Stage 3 Alternative Pathway Room Lead
37 hours per week, term time only
Salary range: S15-S17 (Actual salary £24,886 – £25,713).
We are seeking to appoint an alternative pathway room lead to support some of our most challenging and vulnerable students in Key Stage 3. You will provide personalised learning support (including individual and small group intervention) for students who are finding it difficult to access the curriculum as well as providing consistency in pastoral care.
The successful candidates will:
* Have qualifications to at least A level standard with GCSE in both English and maths
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Be a good team player
* Be able to form a constructive rapport with students to enable them to engage successfully with learning
* Possibly have experience of working with students who display challenging behaviour and need support with their social and emotional wellbeing.
Macmillan Academy is situated in Middlesbrough on Teesside and was rated good by Ofsted in the most recent inspection. We have over 1500 students on roll, including 250 in Post 16. Our strong reputation for academic success is matched by our desire to provide a holistic education for every student.
