A leading independent school situated in Moulsford, on the Oxfordshire-Berkshire border, offers nursery, junior, and senior level education, catering for 620 students and teachers. We provide a core feeding of breakfast and after school club, morning and afternoon break, lunch, and a good amount of hospitality. This is a term-time only role operating Monday to Friday, with additional benefits including free parking on site.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established and friendly team at our prestigious location in Moulsford/Wallingford.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4.30 pm, Term time only.
As a Kitchen Porter, you'll play a significant part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness at all times.
* Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage.
* Provide excellent customer service.
* Be a great team player.
* Assist the Chefs with some food preparation.
* Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment.
* Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials, including air filter and extraction systems.
* Operate industrial dishwasher.
Requirements:
* Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
* Can-do attitude.
* Organizational skills.
* Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good understanding and use of verbal English.
* Ability to demonstrate reasonable/good standard of written English and reading skills.
* Similar experience in customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred.
