Accounting Senior Manager / Team Leader Bristol/Hybrid - 3 days a week on-site Reports to: Head of Finance Planning & Reporting - Europe 37.5 hours per week Permanent £55,000 - £60,000 Last date for applications 3rd Febraury 2025 The Finance Planning & Reporting team leader is responsible for management accounting, financial planning, reporting, analysis, as well as driving commercial and operational value in the business by supporting strategic initiatives and influencing decisions. The successful candidate will be supported by up to four Management Accountants / Assistant Management Accountants to deliver annual budgets, accurate accounts, P&L and performance reports in a timely manner for up to 30 properties managed by Yugo across Europe. Responsibilities Investor reporting As part of month end process, supervise up to four Management Accountants to produce accounts and review them to ensure that the data is accurate. Work closely with Yugo Operations to ensure financial performance for properties across multiple European regions are reported accurately and on time to investors. Act as subject matter expert for any local reporting requirements. Act as a main point of contact for investors, portfolio managers and our own operations team. Collaborate with the wider Finance function, including teams who deliver transaction processing, corporate accounting and projects. Planning Supervise management accountants to consolidate data for budget and forecast models for any new or existing properties, ensuring data is consolidated and presented in a controlled manner. Liaise and co-ordinate with Yugo Operations to provide support and challenge in the preparation of budget for each property as part of the annual planning process, reforecasts, and budget for new properties as part of the mobilisation process. Analysis Supervise management accountants to produce reactive and proactive analysis to provide insights into property performance. Business partnering Act as primary interface into Finance for the business, as well as business advocate within Finance, to lead cross-functional collaboration and build relationships with multiple stakeholders. Guide the management accountants in supporting the development and monitoring of business performance measures to identify gaps against agreed targets and KPIs, ensuring transparency of business actions and supporting course correction. Guide the Assistant management accountants in providing qualitative and quantitative analysis to support business decision making process. Challenge Yugo Operations on their spend on limited resources available on the most profitable projects or initiatives to achieve Opex and Capex optimisation. Transformation and business changes Be a change maker, driving improvements and identifying resolutions to historic issues. Developing best practice, communicating it out and driving the implementation. Support Head of Planning & Reporting in relevant projects for finance and business processes optimization. People management and coaching Coach junior members of the team by being a role model. Support management accountants through their professional studies. Manage performance of management accountants to ensure accurate set of management accounts are produced in a timely manner. Experience Required Essential: Qualified Accountant, with 5 PQE Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills Fluent in written and spoken English Must have people management experience. Desirable: Oracle NetSuite experience Fluency in a foreign language (Spanish)
