We are excited to be working with our high-tech manufacturing client to hire the newly created position of Group Financial Controller. As the business continues to grow from its HQ in Glasgow and with operations around the world, this role is designed to help facilitate that continued growth, initially by driving the build of fit-for-purpose Finance Systems and Processes.
Reporting to the CEO, this role will be pivotal in shaping how the business moves forward and has the real potential to develop into a FD/CFO role over time.
The successful candidate will provide key insights into business performance, support strategic financial decisions, and ensure compliance with monthly reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop streamlined reporting, providing transparency on business transformation and cost management.
* Take responsibility for all parent co. reporting (Financial, ESG, Internal controls) and for liaising with external contacts such as auditors and accounting partners for each local entity.
* Play a crucial role in shaping the company’s transfer pricing strategy, ensuring that intercompany transactions align with global compliance standards and optimize tax efficiency across regions.
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis for the UK entity.
* Provide detailed financial analysis and variance reports directly to the Group CEO to support executive decision-making.
* Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, aligning financial plans with business goals.
This role will be office based for the first 6 months as all stakeholders involved in the function redesign activities will be expected to work closely together to complete the process. Thereafter it can be carried out on a 60/40 hybrid basis.
